Most women I've met
have expressed their
longing to meet
"Prince Charming" and
to live happily ever
after. I too spent
most of my life
looking for the Fairy
Tale only to have
ended up with two
failed marriages and
still no Prince. I
became suicidal and
depressed, but instead
of ending my life I
found life!! The life
of Christ, the Prince
of Peace!
Why have so few women
experienced the Fairy
Tale? Because it’s a
story about fairies,
not women!! But, there
is a tale about women
and it goes like
this...
"For God so loved the
world that He gave His
only begotten Son,
that whoever believes
in Him should not
perish but have
eternal life." John
3:16
God sent His Son Jesus
Christ, the real
Prince, with a real
Kingdom, to earth
because He loves you
so much and wants you
to live with Him
"happily ever after"
in His Kingdom.
Why did Jesus, the
Prince of Peace, have
to come here? Because
there is a problem
that you and I have
and we need to be
rescued from it. We
can’t save ourselves
from the problem or
its deadly
consequences. The
problem is sin.
"For all have sinned
and fall short of the
glory of God." Romans
3:23
God’s glory is 100%
perfection and our
"falling short" means
that you and I have
all fallen short of
God’s required
perfection.
The consequence or the
penalty for that
falling short is
eternal separation
from God. "For the
wages (consequences)
of sin is death".
Romans 6:23
But, despite that bad
news, here’s the
really good news…"the
free gift of God is
eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23
The price of our sin
is death, but He died
in our place and
rescued us from an
eternal death and
separation from God.
Romans 5:8 says this,
“But God demonstrates
His own love toward
us, in that while we
were yet sinners,
Christ died for us."
But, here’s the big
question? Will you
allow Him to rescue
you or will you try to
save yourself? He
offers you, as a gift,
a secure place in His
Kingdom, where you
will live happily ever
after with Him. How do
you receive the gift?
The gift is given
freely and can’t be
earned or purchased.
It can only be
received by faith.
"For by grace you have
been saved through
faith; and that not of
yourselves, it is the
gift of God; not as a
result of works, that
no one should boast."
Ephesians 2:9-10
How do you accept Him
through faith? You
simply believe with
your heart that you
are a sinner deserving
of death and that
Jesus died for you by
dying in your place.
"If you confess with
your mouth Jesus is
Lord and believe in
your heart that God
raised Him from the
dead you will be
saved; for with the
heart man believes,
resulting in
righteousness, and
with the mouth he
confesses, resulting
in salvation." Romans
10:9-10
If you’d like to
receive the free gift
of eternal life you
can say this simple
prayer or use your own
words… (the words are
not important, but the
attitude of the heart
behind the words IS
important!)
Lord, I’m a sinner
worthy of death, but
now I understand that
you died in my place.
I’m sorry and ask you
to forgive me and I
ask you to come into
my heart to live with
me forever. I now turn
from my old way of
living and ask You to
change me so that I
might please God.
You now have a new
life and the Bible
says that "the old
things passed away;
behold new things have
come". 2 Corinthians
5:15
You are a brand new
creation and you need
to know how to live
differently. The
reason that you can
live differently is
because when Christ
died, He rose again
from the dead three
days later. You and I
serve a living Savior
and if you’ve accepted
His free gift, by
faith, then He lives
in your heart through
His Spirit!
I suggest that you do
three important
things:
|
1. |
Get a Bible and
start reading in
the book of
John. You can
look in the
index to find
the book of
John. It is the
fourth
book in the New
Testament. Also,
look up the
above Scripture
references or
ask someone to
show you how to
do so and read
them for
yourself. |
2. |
Find a good
Bible-teaching
church and begin
to go regularly.
Ask someone
there where you
could find a
good Bible
study. |
3. |
Pray daily.
Praying is just
simply talking
to God like you
talk to your
best friend.
There are no
certain things
that you are
required to say.
Just tell Him
how you feel and
what you are
struggling with
and tell Him you
love Him and
want to know Him
better.
|
If you have prayed
that prayer or have
any questions, I’d
love to hear from you.
