“Following
Jesus ...One Step at a
Time"
[formerly entitled,
"Developing the Heart of a
Disciple”]
is a retreat that causes
women to laugh and cry as
they hear Debbie’s
Biblically sound, yet
practical, ways of putting
Jesus Christ first in
their daily lives. Debbie
explains that following
Jesus is not another
activity on a “to do”
list, but is a matter of
loving Him with all your
heart and mind.
This retreat consists of three
teaching sessions that challenge
women to develop a heart
that loves, that listens
and that follows Jesus.
Have you ever wondered
what “abiding in Christ”
is and how to “do” it?
(John 15:5) Debbie really
brings this biblical
admonition to life with
great word pictures and
humor, as she explains not
only how to abide daily
with Christ, but
emphasizes that apart from
Him we can do nothing.
“Debbie takes deep
theology and tells us how
it looks in real life and
how to do it. I’ve
understood for years that
I should follow Christ and
that I should take all of
my thoughts captive, but
no one could ever tell me
how to do it and Debbie
has done just that!
Finally, I get it!! This
retreat has changed my
life!” -Comment

“The Faith Factor”
is a retreat that consists
of three teaching sessions
designed to explain
what faith is, how to get
it, and how to live by it
daily. While most of us
put our faith in Christ
for our eternal life, few
of us put our faith in Him
for our daily life. Do you
want to live by faith, not
fear? It is impossible to
trust someone without
knowing them and the only
way to know God is through
His Word. “So faith comes
from hearing and hearing
by the Word of Christ.” -
Romans 10:17
This retreat is
highlighted with several
powerful and unforgettable
dramatic moments that
significantly impact
women. Women leave this
retreat knowing that God
is a Promise making,
Promise keeping, lavish
gift giving God who CAN be
trusted!!
“Are
things in my life perfect
now? The answer is ‘no’ to
all of the above, but when
I doubt now I will head
straight to His Word (my
script) and know (without
always feeling) that I
have a promise making,
promise keeping, lavish
gift giving God. He is ALL
I need. My eternal life
has begun and I will honor
Him in my daily life here
and now.”

“What a blessing and
pleasure it was to be near
you this weekend and to
have you pray for us, to
see absolute obedience and
to see you trusting only
in Jesus. For when you
were weak then you were
strong. How awesome it was
to see the truth of this
verse played out in your
life this weekend. I knew
that this verse was true,
but I didn’t get it until
it hit me tonight. Through
your obedience and
weakness, you let Jesus
and only Jesus through and
this message has changed
and will continue to
change lives.”

"Hello, God?
Can You Hear Me Now?"
is a retreat
that consists of three
teaching sessions
designed to help you
develop a vibrant
prayer life. Prayer
is nothing more than
communicating with the
Maker of the Universe,
however, no one
desires to communicate
with someone they
don't like or love.
To have a vibrant
relationship with God
in prayer we must
understand that He
loves us! Rather than
concentrating on "how
to" information, this
session centers on the
"who to" of prayer.
Session Two reveals
that sin will keep God
from hearing our
prayers and encourages
repentance and private
time alone with God.
Session Three presents
the truth that when we
pray according to
God's Will, which is
His Word, He WILL hear
us and answer us. 1
John 5:14-15 "And
how bold and free we
then become in His
presence, freely
asking according to
His will, sure that
He's listening. And
if we're confident
that He's listening,
we know that what
we've asked for is as
good as ours." A
fourth session is
often requested that
centers on the
power of praise.
"Debbie we have a very
similar past and I
thank God that He is
using your experiences
to reach out to a
dying and hurting
world. I was blessed
to be in attendance at
your retreat, "Hello,
God? Can you hear me
now?" God spoke
directly to me through
you. It has changed
my life. There is no
heart surgeon alive
that could have healed
this broken heart the
way that God did that
day. You will never
know what it means to
me to understand and
grab hold of the truth
that God loves me as
much as He loves Jesus
and that I am a
Daddy's girl. It is
with tears streaming
from my heart that I
write this. Oh, what
security."
